Two more people have been arrested in connection with a theft at Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.

These detentions come after a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women had stolen from them their luggage upon exiting a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was among the those hurt in the event. Five people were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later discharged.

Officers arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault near the scene. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Police were alerted at about 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding several people injured by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.

The assault - an event that police said was isolated and not considered an act of terror - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
